
AMC is building an Internet video streaming service tailored specifically for horror fans. Anonymous AMC insiders tell Variety that the broadcaster has launched an invite-only beta test of their horror-centric OTT video service Shudder. Consumers who previously signed up on Shudder s public pre-launch website started getting invites last week, and can now join the service for two free months. After that, Shudder will be charging users $5 a month, or $50 for a full year to access a catalog of 200 horror films.
