This weekend there are ongoing problems in Michigan with Cable provider Wide Open West mostly centered around DNS. The discussion topic on it can be found here. Their suggestion is to change your router or computer DNS settings to manually specified, and enter the IP address for the google public DNS servers: Primary: 8.8.8.8 and Secondary: 8.8.4.4
